Job Description:

Key responsibilities and accountabilities:
1. - - -Investigate factory quality problems, customer and consumer complaints using a broad range of skills and techniques such as

• 
  
• Can performance testing
  
• Seam evaluations
  
• Coating performance tests
  
• Microscopy and metallography
  
• Plant trials -
  
• Bev/Food processing simulation
  
• Provide reports with clear conclusions and recommendations
  
  
  2. - - -Manage and record work requests using appropriate IT systems
  
  
  • 
    
  • Prioritise work to ensure business needs are met and time is used effectively
    
  • Work within the Technical Support Team to ensure all requests are dealt with and resources are allocated efficiently
    
  • Liaise with other teams, departments and/or external resources to ensure the root cause of a problem can be established
    
  • Maintain proactive communication with stakeholders
    
  • Regularly review work for value added opportunities and update value added report
    
  • Monthly reports
    
    
    3. - - -Contribute to the wider activities of Materials and Crown Technology
    
    
    • 
      
    • Proactive approach to environment, health and safety and energy saving initiatives
      
    • Involvement in development and innovation teams as required

      ESSENTIAL REQUIREMENTS -
      Professional and academic -qualifications:
      
      
      • 
        
      • Degree in science or engineering subject
        
        
        Or
        
        
        • 
          
        • Several years relevant experience in a similar technical support role
          
          
          Previous experience
          
          
          • 
            
          • Demonstrated ability to work in a laboratory or manufacturing environment
